Jason’s BIO MIProDJ.com is a Clio/Flint, Michigan based “single-op” DJ company, meaning there is only one DJ…me, Jason Rathburn. I never understood (besides the obvious to make a lot more money, but that’s besides the point) why a DJ who loves what he/she does wants to hire a few other friends to do their job for them. Sure, I could hire “a couple buddies,” have them tag along with me a few times to give them basic training and send them out to do a mediocre job on the biggest day of your lives, but that never has nor will ever be my style. I want to give you quality entertainment, and I’m sorry I just can’t do that if I hand out all my business to just anybody. Let me ask you this… How you would feel, if you met with me, we had let’s say a good hour interview… You told me “everything” you want to see or do at your wedding… We exchange great ideas back and forth… And then on the big day, you have “some guy” show up you’ve never met. Wouldn’t you just be utterly ticked at ME? This is what you get, when you hire a multi-op company. Those companies that have 4 or 5 DJ’s just sitting by the phone waiting for a phone call from their boss. Don’t let me forget, that “guy” that shows up from the Multi-op company, he has to split his share with his boss that gave him the job. Do you think he’s going to work as hard, and put in as much effort into your night? I can say, I know every single one of my bride and grooms front to back. The point I’m trying to make, is “when you hire me, YOU GET ME!” Point blank, I love to DJ and it shows in my work. Most of my business is from referrals or they were a guest at someone else’s event, and just loved what they saw, and rang me up the next day to a week to book. They don’t need to ask anything, they already know what to expect, because they’ve already experienced it! Who you choose as your DJ can and will greatly effect the outcome and how you remember the one of the biggest nights of your life. I want you to know everything about me, if you decide to choose me as your DJ.
